· She is Master in medicine since 2005, medical genetics specialist since 2009 and has a PhD degree in Human Genetics since 2010 (the Medical University, Sofia, Bulgaria).
· In 2007 she has completed a one-year training in Molecular Genetics at the Tokyo University and the Institute RIKEN (Japan), where she performed the experimental part of her PhD-thesis (case-control GWAS of schizophrenia; supervisors - Prof. Dr. Yusuke Nakamura and Akadem. Dr. Draga Toncheva (Bulgaria)).
· From 2014 to 2018 she has completed a second specialization in Human Genetics in Germany, (Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden and the Mitteldeutscher Praxisverbund Humangenetik Dresden-Friedrichstadt).
· She had a clinical practical year in internal medicine with an intensive care, pediatrics and pediatric surgery.
· Since 2020 she is Head of the medical genetics laboratory at the ‘Heart and Brain’ Hospital in Pleven, Bulgaria and is a genetic counselor.
· Since 2024 she is an associated professor and a lecturer at the department of Molecular genetics, immunology and medical genetics at the Medical Faculty of the Trakia University Stara Zagora.
She lectures students of medicine in Bulgarian, English and German, has 3 medical doctors in training for medical genetics under her supervision and has just obtained accreditation of the medical genetics PhD-program at the Trakia University.
She has a large number of publications in renowned scientific journals with over 200 citations and is co-author of several textbooks in genomic medicine and oncology.
