Dear Colleagues, dear Friends,

 

on behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Slovenian Association of Medical Genetics, we cordially invite you to the 15th Balkan Congress of Human Genetics and 3rd Alpe Adria meeting of human genetics with international participation, taking place in Bled, Slovenia, from 9 to 11 October 2025.

 

At the joint Balkan Congress and the Alpe Adria meeting, the most excellent experts in the field of genetics in the region and other top European researchers will attend the meeting and present their work. Special emphasis will be given to the newest technologies for sequencing genomes and transcriptomes, and the importance of these for contemporary medical genetics approaches to patients. Furthermore, the importance of unifying practice guidelines and services in the European region and the new field of predictive genomics will be highlighted.

 

Participants will present their work as invited lectures, short lectures and posters in the following fields of human genetics:

- Genomic medicine, cytogenomics

- Clinical genetics and dysmorphology

- Genetics of rare diseases and treatment

- Pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics

- Oncogenomics /oncogenetics

- Reproductive genetics

- Population genetics and epidemiology

- Multifactorial diseases, neurogenetics, immunogenetics.
